The Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers (ALLMI)
Founded in 1978 at the request of the HSE (Health and Safety Executive), ALLMI remains as the UK’s only Trade Association which devotes exclusively to the lorry loader industry. Their core aims are:
- To promote the safe use of lorry loaders.
- To ensure that the Association is involved in the formulation of any legislation which affects the industry’s interests.
- To promote compliance with training requirements embodied in current legislation.
We provide training and assessments nationwide for Lorry Loader and Slinger Signaller under the ALLMI Accreditation.
ALLMI CSCS Operator Card and Certificate
ALLMI offers a Certification of Achievement and Identity Card for Operators and Instructors on successful achievement of their theoretical and practical training and assessment. Certificates and cards are valid for five years after which refresher training and assessments will need to be taken.
They will be registered onto the ALLMI Operator database and supplied with the ALLMI Operator’s manual for ongoing career guidance throughout their employment.
ALLMI is a partner card scheme of CSCS, so therefore now displays the CSCS logo on the top right-hand corner of cards relating to the following categories:
- Lorry Loader Operator
- Crane Supervisor
- Appointed Person
- Thorough Examiner
For any existing cardholders prior to the 1st November 2016, you can order a replacement card that will now display the CSCS logo if required.
HSE Commendation
ALLMI has been awarded with the Health and Safety Executive’s ‘Working in Partnership’ logo of recognition, due to consistent high standards of training. This partnership logo comes with a commendation from the HSE:
“The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) commends the use of this Training Programme to those who have duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. This programme was drawn up with the participation of an HSE representative and will be referred to in relevant HSE publications.”
The ALLMI training scheme is the only lorry loader training scheme in the UK to have received this commendation from the HSE.
